20 May 2017 - 9 July 2017
With a van for a studio and a head torch among his brushes, Black Country landscape artist Robert Perry is a plein-air travel painter who works both day and night. The artist, who is a prominent member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, works exclusively on location, producing spectacular views from his travels across Britain and Europe. In this latest show visitors will be treated to stunning paintings of the West Midlands landscape, including a panorama of Wolverhampton at night commissioned specially for the exhibition.

Robert Perry’s work is created in, on the side of and on top of his trusty Renault Traffic van, giving him the opportunity to capture the effects of light, atmosphere and season on theurban and rural views around him.
