Decibel Award Wining artist Hetain Patel creates a new performance in response to the intricate and decorative patterns in the Georgian Gallery at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

By using his body as a canvas Hetain’s art of unconventional Mehndi designs allow him to explore and question what it is to be a young British Asian living in Britain today. Through juxtaposing traditional Mehndi techniques normally associated with Hindu prayer and wedding ceremonies with the designs and patterns in the Georgian Gallery Hetain begins to open up underlying questions about his own identity, and those of many others around him.
