Children not at school? Visit Wolverhampton’s brilliant family-friendly venues to discover more arts and culture than you can shake a wet paintbrush at! We have regular activities for children and young people throughout school holidays as well as special events on weekends throughout the year celebrating everything from Diwali and Eid through to new exhibition openings.


Big Draw: Big 4 Drawing Portraits Challenge
Wolverhampton Art Gallery

11am – 2pm, £2 per child

Have you got what it takes to complete our Big Draw 4 x Drawing Portraits Challenge? Be inspired by our BP Portrait Award exhibition and work with our talented artists to complete four challenges.

• Self Portrait – Ask a friend to draw around you then fill in the details until it looks just like you.
• Draw Up Close – Draw a feature up close and turn it into a badge, it could be ane eye, a mouth or something else.
• Draw Someone Else – Find our dramatic model somewhere in the Gallery space. Then draw their portrait directly from life just like a real artist!
• Portrait Trail – Complete all of the questions on our Portrait trail.

If you complete all 4 drawing challenges you can claim a prize.

Awesome Afro-Punk Textile Art
